Sailing from Villa Envie

From our terrace, it takes only minutes to sail your sloop (or other fixed mast sail boat) to the Sneekermeer Lake. This is the heart of Friesian water sports; your ultimate sailing holiday starts here. From a sloop or open sail boat you can relish the Friesian Lakes, channels and canals and moor at a different village every day to have a wonderful time.

During summer, you can sail from one event to another. The position of the Sneekermeer Lake allows you to take maximum advantage of the annual Sneek week sailing events. You can also take your bike and use the ferry to keep on enjoying the festivities in Sneek. What about being part of the traditional Skutsjesilen Regatta? The Skutsjes sail boats compete on the Sneekermeer on two occasions. Being at Villa Envie makes you feel totally involved in these excellent experiences.

Because Villa Envie is located on an island in the Friese Meren (Friesian lakes), you are able to thoroughly appreciate the Friesian waterways. Do you prefer to sit quietly and glide across the water or do you prefer more action and real sailing? Anything is possible.
